NBCFAE HQ REGION MISSION STATEMENT

We will continue to support Equal Employment Opportunity for African Americans, other minorities, women and people with Disabilities.  We actively recruit for new minorities employees in the technical and non – technical areas in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) with emphases on the hard to fill occupations.  We would like to help the FAA become a more diverse agency.  Therefore we continue to reach out to the community through Aviation Academies, and scholarships for our youth to prepare them- selves for future careers, hopefully in Aviation.

NBCFAE hq Region vision Statement

Our vision is to reenergize the membership in line with our mission to become more involved in EEO.  We would like to continue our community outreach in ACE programs that expose our youth to Aviation jobs and programs.  We would like to see the membership more representative of the minorities at HQ.

The goals of the National Black Coalition of Federal Aviation Employees are:

• Establish a national communication network among members.
• Develop a national voice for Black, female and minority FAA employees.
• Educate members concerning rights, personnel and promotional qualifications.
• Monitor Black, female and minority trainees.
• Assist in recruiting Black, female and minority individuals for FAA positions.
• Establish a national directory for members.
• Promote professionalism in our work and strive for excellence in the performance of our duties.
